When I were a lad, I yearned for an early Clive Sinclair product, the matchbox-sized Micro-6, which Sinclair touted as the world’s smallest radio. But I didn’t own the relevant £3, which was just as well because its distinguishing feature was that it didn’t work.

This new British miracle (45mm x 35mm x 22mm) is “the world’s smallest DAB radio”. It works (with its earphones), albeit not brilliantly. If you think carefully you’ll realise that you don’t need a minute portable radio – which is probably why the Japanese don’t make them. But now you know it exists.
